Solar energy
Solar energy systems — off-grid and grid connected
Developed and installed off-grid solar systems with battery storage. Sizing generation, storage and balance-of-system for locations with weak or absent grid infrastructure.
- • Yield simulation and load profiling
- • Battery storage sizing and hybrid configurations
- • Electrical design, protection and grid compliance
- • Installation supervision and commissioning

Hydrogen storage
Design & development of composite pressure vessels
Design and development of composite pressure vessels, from liner and filament winding through to burst and cycle testing, integrated into complete compressed hydrogen storage systems for on-road and off-road applications.

Vessels designed, wound and destructively tested in-house, then integrated into complete storage systems for real machines and vehicles.
Research
Decentralised hydrogen for Dutch households
A techno-economic feasibility study of a stand-alone solar–electrolyser–hydrogen–battery–fuel cell system for residential use. Solar covers daily demand, a battery handles day-to-day fluctuation and hydrogen provides seasonal storage. Result: a typical Dutch household can be supplied off-grid with 19 PV modules, 25.5 kWh of battery and a 1.24 m³ hydrogen tank, and cost falls sharply toward €0.28/kWh as component prices mature and hydrogen production and storage are shared across a neighborhood rather than per house.
Target applications
CHSS for on-road and off-road applications
Complete compressed hydrogen storage systems built around the application — on-road vehicles as well as off-road machinery — covering vessels, valves, regulation, piping, refuelling interface and safety.

Off-road: excavator retrofit
Compressed hydrogen storage system for a retrofitted excavator — vessel arrangement inside the machine envelope, refuelling receptacle, pressure regulation down to fuel cell inlet, and venting and safety design for a dusty, vibrating off-road environment.

On-road: vehicle storage systems
Storage systems for on-road applications, engineered around 350 and 700 bar working pressures: vessel selection and packaging, thermally activated pressure relief, leak detection, and compliance-driven component selection. The system shown is a 350 bar system based on type-3 tanks.
